Station 6 - Johnson Bible College Fire Station

For over 20 years, Johnson Bible College has had an on-site fire brigade. In the early 90’s, Seymour VFD entered into an agreement with the college to operate the station on campus. Johnson Bible College constructed the building and Seymour Fire Department replaced the 1944 Mack pumper with a Class A engine. The college still owns and operates the mini-pumper for operations on-campus and Seymour provides a Captain on campus to coordinate the off-site response made with Engine 510. This has been a great relationship for both the college and the Kimberlin Heights Community. In 2004, we are planning a joint venture to replace Engine 510 with a 75’ ladder with a 1500 gpm pump and add a dedicated EMS vehicle to this station. Station 6 is equipped with the following vehicles:

• Engine 510 Commercial Chevy/Boardman 500 gallon 750 gpm Class A engine
• JBC Truck 1 Chevy pickup mini-pumper (owned by the college)
